Why are leftwingers in such a panic over the plunge in violence in Iraq?

They were correct about the surge, the problem is they waited to long to implament it. It should have been that way from the start of the mission in Iraqi, not 7 years after the fact. For once I do agree with some Liberals, time to leave. There is nothing more we can do there. We are wasting billions when it should be Iraqi financing and fighting their own battles now. We did the dirty work, now they have to stand or fall on their own two feet. NATO is stretched and as usual the United Nations is useless.
