(INDIANA) Twins and claiming taxes?

i have twin girls on the way. my girlfriend and i broke up. my question is does she have the right to claim both of them on tax returns? she will have custody of them, but i will still be with them every day. a friend mentioned Indiana has a deadbeat dad law that allows the parent to have custody of the child for 6 months out of the year. in my case there are two so does that mean i am allowed to claim both for 6 months per year each? any help will be appreciated. i am still doing research but have had success with questions here before.
