Will my juvenile record keep me out of Law Enforcement?

When I was 13 years old, I was accused of a ual incident involving a 5 year old female. I was forced to hire an attorney to help me, because I know and knew darn well that I did not commit this offense. Long story short, my attorney told my mother and I that it would be best if I pleaded guilty to the crime, whether I did it or not. That If I tried to fight it, I could possibly face jail time AND registry as an offender. My mother and I were very scared of that kind of conviction, so we went with his advice. I was given a misdemeanor of gross ual imposition. The record has been expunged as of my 21st birth year. (i know this doesnt matter with Police) Anyway, I want to know if it is still possible for me to gain a career in this field. I am well aware of the slim chances, and the negative answers I may get from this post, but theres one simple factor. I know that I did not commit this crime. I just need some help figuring things out. Some advice. A couple officers have told me that I may have a chance to go to the review board and explain this if, and when I probably am disqualified during the app process. please, any HELPFUL advice is greatly appreciated.
